Tamasyn GambellTamasyn Gambell lives and works in London. She studied at the Chelsea College of Art and received her MA in printed design from The Royal College of Art in 2005. During this time she experimented with both fashion and interior print design. She went on to work in Paris as a print designer for such fashion houses as Louis Vuitton, Sonia Rykiel and H&M.
Discouraged by the amount of waste produced in fashion as well as by the rapidity of production and design, which left little time for considered reflection, Tamasyn decided to set up her own company that would maintain a level of luxury and top design, while considering the environment and incorporating socially responsible methods of production.
In 2008 she was awarded the NADFAS/Cockpit Arts award for creating an eco-friendly business that uses a traditional fashion item, (in her case the scarf), and changing people’s preconceptions of what eco-design can be. Tamasyn’s company philosophy is about high quality, timeless design using the most eco friendly methods available. The company strives to find suppliers who also maintain these standards.
