Lapuan Kankurit

Lapuan Kankurit was founded in 1917 as a wool and felt boot factory in the Northern reaches of Finland. Why? Because, according to the story, those winters were freezing cold! Seems about right. Nearly 100 years later and it is still a family business with a focus now on linen. Their jacquard weaving mill is headed by a 4th generation weaver Esko + his wife, Jaana, keeping the roots of a Finnish textile traditions alive and well.
