Aconit Napel

Aconit Napel  is the name of a beautiful, but poisonous purple-blue flower that grows in mountainous regions, but it is also the business name of Delphine Dunoyer, a designer who lives and works in Paris. Delphine studied film in Paris and then went to Mexico for six years where she worked as a photographer and journalist. When she returned to Paris she started to get involved with making things by hand, particularly textile based accessories for men and women. She co-founded the collaborative studio called Beau Travail, with a few other artists.

Her work combines both vintage and contemporary fabrics, onto which she sews designs or hand paints directly onto the surface. She works in series, but each piece is essentially unique because each is made a bit differently depending on the fabrics available.
